Major lines continue service cancellation programmes

In connection with the upcoming summer slack season, Maersk has decided to make two suspensions of the ME1 service in weeks 30 and 32 out of Europe. However, the service will run in standard rotation in between.

The Danish carrier said that the port calls on the ME1 service will be covered on other services in its network.

The suspended ME1 vessels:

  • Felixstowe: Covered on AE1: Maersk Essen 030E and MSC Isabella 032E
  • Antwerp: Covered on AE7: Evelyn Maersk 030E and Elly Maersk 020E
  • Hamburg: Covered on AE7: Evelyn Maersk 030E and Elly Maersk 020E
  • Bremerhaven: Covered on AE1 and AE5: AE1 Maersk Essen 030E/Munkebo Maersk and MSC Isabella 032E/Manila Maersk
  • Wilhelmshaven: Transferred to next sailing

There will be no or marginal impact on transit times for all destination ports currently served via ME1, except cargo to Jeddah for week 30 and 32 departure only:

  • Antwerp – Jeddah 18 days
  • Bremerhaven – Jeddah 17 days
  • Rotterdam – Jeddah 18 days
  • Felixstowe – Jeddah 24 days with alternative London Gateway AE7 or transferred to the next vessel

In addition, the 2M Alliance has announced the prolongation of the suspension of its TA4/NEUATL4 service until week 36, resulting in the blanking of all voyages on this service up to and including voyage 036W which was scheduled to depart Antwerp on 31 August.

Meanwhile, Hapag-Lloyd has announced it will revise its Mediterranean Service 3 (MD3) sailing schedule, reinstating their sailing departing Asia in week 31 as per below details:

The German shipping company has also changed the rotation of the South America – Asia / Loop 1 (AN1) service, which will call Puerto Angamos instead of Antofagasta, effective as from June 30 onwards.
