Marlink enhances cyber security portfolio with Diverto acquisition

Marlink, a provider of managed Information Communications and Technology (ICT) solutions, has completed the acquisition of Diverto, a pioneer in advanced Infortmation Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT) security solutions for enterprise and critical infrastructure.

This merger significantly enhances Marlink’s cyber security offerings and capabilities, forming a unified asset poised to deliver top-tier cyber security solutions and services.

The integration also sets new benchmarks in meeting the growing IT and OT security demands of Marlink’s customers operating in remote locations.

Headquartered in Zagreb, Croatia, Diverto specializes in cybersecurity services and solutions. Its portfolio encompasses professional services such as penetration testing, red and purple team exercises, security audits, risk management, compliance, and other cyber security services.

With an advanced Security Operations Centre (SOC) that includes incident management and forensics, Diverto protects both IT and OT environments, independent of the technologies deployed by its clients.

Diverto’s clientele spans public and private sectors, emphasizing information security as crucial for managing business risks. The company employs over 50 highly skilled security professionals holding more than 150 security certifications.

Diverto’s capabilities complement Marlink’s existing portfolio of cyber security solutions, which includes SOC-managed services tailored for remote operations, alongside a comprehensive suite offering protection across network and end-user levels.

Marlink’s commitment to innovation in cyber security solutions was acknowledged in February 2024, when it received the eighth Smart4Sea Cyber Security Award for its CyberGuard Unified Threat Management (UTM) solution, based on a ‘Firewall as a Service’ model.

“We welcome very much Diverto and its expert staff in Marlink Group. Demand for expertise and resources to meet the increasing needs of our customers in both IT and OT security is growing fast and this acquisition is an important step in strengthening our capabilities and expanding our reach in cyber security,” stated Nicolas Furgé, director, Digital, Marlink.

He added, “The integration of Diverto will enable Marlink to capture growing market opportunities in IT and OT security and to build together a cyber security powerhouse for remote operations and critical infrastructure.”
