MEDLOG to set up new automated container park at the Port of Brisbane

The logistics and supply chain operator MEDLOG and Port of Brisbane have signed a 30-year lease on a 73,000 m² site on Fisherman Islands.

MSC Group-owned MEDLOG will set up an automated container park at the Australian port, incorporating high-end technology to deliver world-class standards in terms of operation and safety.

Port of Brisbane Pty Ltd (PBPL) will develop the site to MEDLOG’s specific requirements for the storage and operations of both empty and fully laden containers.

The facility is expected to be operational by the third quarter of 2022 and will include sustainable design elements including a solar installation and use of low carbon concrete.

Neil Stephens, CEO of PBPL, said, “MEDLOG’s expansion into Queensland and its new home at Port of Brisbane speaks volumes about its confidence in the Port being the right place to support its long-term growth.”
