MSC adds Transpacific void sailings

MSC has announced additional blank sailings on its Maple service during week 19 to rationalise capacity supply from Asia to the US and Canada, as part of its structural changes and omissions on its Transpacific network.

WEEK 19 OMISSION

Maple service
Blanking vessel MSC Pegasus voyage 019N, ETS 8 May 2020 which rotates as follows:
Nansha – Yantian – Shanghai – Busan – Yokohama – Prince Rupert – Vancouver

Both Yokohama and Prince Rupert will be called by inducement for MSC’s Eagle vessel Northern Jasper to cover for Japan export cargo and a Prince Rupert discharge.

WEEK 22 OMISSION

Maple service
Blanking vessel SM Pegasus voyage 022S, ETS 28 May 2020 which rotates as follows:
Prince Rupert – Vancouver – Nansha – Yantian – Shanghai – Busan

Furthermore, the Geneva-based carrier has announced additional void sailings on its Asia – US & Canada network during weeks 18 and 20 to respond to lower demand due to the increased impact of Covid-19.

Xiamen – Yantian – Busan – Houston – Mobile – Tampa

Blanking vessel MSC ANS voyage 020E, ETS 16 May 2020 which rotates as follows:
Xiamen – Yantian – Busan – Houston – Mobile – Tampa

Pelican service
Blanking vessel MSC Nerissa voyage QP023W, ETS 02 June 2020 which rotates as follows:
Houston – Mobile – Tampa – Manzanillo (Panama) – Balboa – Busan – Xiamen – Yantian

WEEK 25 OMISSION

Pelican service
Blanking vessel MSC Ans voyage QP025W, ETS 16 June 2020 which rotates as follows:
Houston – Mobile – Tampa – Manzanillo (Panama) – Balboa – Busan – Xiamen – Yantian
