MSC announces changes in Far East service

According to DynaLiners report, the world’s largest container carrier MSC has realigned its intra-Far East Pertiwi service, replacing the port of Tanjung Pelepas with the port of Ho Chi Minh (Cai Mep).

At the same time, MSC has decided to deploy an additional container vessel to the port rotation of the service, which is now operated by seven ships with a capacity of around 4,000 TEUs.

The updated port rotation will be as follows:


Busan (South Korea), Dalian (China), Tianjin (China), Inchon (South Korea), Qingdao (China), Shenzhen (Dachan, China), Ho Chi Minh (Cai Mep, Vietnam), Laem Chabang (Thailand), Singapore, Panjang (Indonesia), Jakarta (Indonesia), Singapore, Tanjung Pelepas (Malaysia), Ho Chi Minh (Cai Mep) (Vietnam), and back to Busan (South Korea).
