MSC boosts Transatlantic network with nine-day Italy-US transit time

As part of MSC’s newly launched standalone East/West Network, the ocean carrier has announced key enhancements to two major Transatlantic services.

The MEDUSEC service will now offer a nine-day transit time between Genoa, Italy and New York, US. To achieve this, calls in Barcelona, Spain and Sines, Portugal have been removed from the service. Barcelona will now be included in the EMUSA service, while Sines will remain connected to the US East Coast through EMUSA as well.

In addition, these adjustments also strengthen trade connectivity for Sardinia and Sicily, improving access to the US East Coast via the company’s feeder services, while MSC’s intermodal network enhances inland coverage across Italy for seamless connections to the United States.
