MSC diminishes reefer bookings acceptance from Europe to Middle East & Asia

Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) will limit reefer bookings acceptance from European ports to Middle East and Asia for the next weeks.

The Swiss container line has announced that in view of the persistent delay impacting the turnover of equipment on the trade, the acceptance of bookings for reefer containers from Europe destined to the Middle East Gulf and Far East, will be reduced for some weeks.

“We confirm our commitment to work to help improve the situation to lift the above-mentioned limitation in the shortest possible time,” said MSC in its announcement.

The carrier took a similar decision before approximately five months, when MSC announced a temporary limitation on reefer container bookings from Europe to Asia, starting on 25 May.
