MSC -with French and Chinese vessels- enhances IMED service

The fast, direct IMED service will be operated jointly with CMA CGM and COSCO

MSC announces an improved offering for shippers of cargo on the India-Mediterranean trade by introducing a fast, direct service between the Indian subcontinent, Turkey and East Mediterranean ports.

The IMED service, operated jointly with CMA CGM and COSCO, will consist of seven vessels of 9000 TEUs capacity. MSC will contribute five vessels, while CMA CGM and COSCO will each provide one vessel.

The port rotation is:

Mundra—Nhava Sheva—Colombo—King Abdullah Port—Port Said—Mersin—Piraeus—Tekirdag—Istanbul—Mersin—Iskendrun—King Abdullah Port—Salalah—Jebel Ali—Mina Khalifa—Hamad—Jubail—Jebel Ali—Mundra.

The joint service will start from Hamad on 12 November 2018.
