MSC increases prices to Middle East and Far East

The Swiss/Italian ocean carrier Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) has published fresh Freight All Kinds (FAK) increases for shipments destined to Far East and Middle East ports, which will be effective from 1 March but not beyond 31 March 2022.

More specifically, the global shipping line will push up its FAK rates in containers from the European ports of Antwerp, Gothenburg, Rotterdam and Aarhus to the Port of Shanghai in China, as well as the Port of Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Set in all 20′ and 40′ dry van (DV) boxes, the increases will be the following:

Moreover, the Geneva-headquartered liner operator has announced the following higher prices from ports of La Spezia, Genoa, Trieste, Venice, Constantza, Odessa, Gemlik and Tekirdag, to the aforementioned Far East and Middle East ports.
