Sea-Intelligence said that both schedule reliability and average delay are now better than the 2020 level as well.

This month there was a change in the helm. With schedule reliability of 63.4%, MSC was the most reliable carrier in November 2022, overtaking Maersk which marked a reliability score of 61.7%. The 2M Alliance partners were the only carriers which achieved a reliability score over 60%. The next eight box carriers recorded schedule reliability of 50%-60%, while four container lines recorded schedule reliability of 40%-50%.

Taiwan’s major container shipping company Yang Ming recorded the lowest schedule reliability of 42.5% in November.

“Apart from Yang Ming, all of the top-14 carriers recorded a month-to-month improvement in schedule reliability, whereas all carriers recorded a double-digit year-to-year improvement in schedule reliability, with 12 carriers recording improvements of over 20 percentage points,” commented Alan Murphy, CEO of Sea-Intelligence.
