Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) has decided to remove the import congestion surcharge (CGS) which was introduced at Poti Sea Port in mid-November. The surcharge removal is a result of an improvement in waiting times at the Georgian port.
The Poti CGS, which had been applied to all cargo destined for the Black Sea port, will not apply for shipments corresponding to bills of lading dated 10 February or later.
