[s2If is_user_logged_in()]The Swiss-based carrier will launch a special sector-focused service for France, Belgium, Portugal and the United Kingdom, which is expected to help the distribution of pharmaceutical products as the sector struggles to meet delivery schedules.
“Our reefer containers use the most advanced cooling systems to ensure our customers’ cargo remains at the required temperature throughout its transit and our fleet is equipped with the latest green technology to minimise our carbon footprint,” said MSC in its statement.
MSC noted that its new campaign will offer a reefer container fleet with the most advanced cooling systems, the youngest container fleet with the largest capacity, access to local reefer experts with extensive knowledge of the pharma industry, expertise in container dehumidification, global port coverage, wide equipment availability, fast and reliable transit times and integrated end-to-end supply chain network.
Clarification: In an earlier version of this story we suggested that MSC would be handling vaccines. MSC has clarified that while it will be handling pharmaceutical goods but does not say in will be involved in the transportation of vaccines. Container News apologises for the confusion.
