MSC strengthens NWC to South Africa service

MSC has announced the update of its NWC to South Africa service, revising the port rotation in Northern Europe and call at Cape Town on the Northbound leg.

With this change, the largest container line in the world aims to improve transit times and schedule reliability.

MSC noted it will continue to serve its customers in the Mediterranean via Sines and Las Palmas, “ensuring quick and reliable connections at both transshipment ports”.

The first vessel on the revised rotation will be the 8,800 TEU MSC Lily, with an estimated time of arrival (ETA) in Rotterdam on 9 January 2023.

The updated rotation of the service will be Rotterdam – London Gateway – Antwerp – Hamburg – Le Havre – Sines – Las Palmas – Coega – Durban – Cape Town – Las Palmas – Rotterdam
