MSC to acquire 49% stake in Boluda Towage

The saga of MSC increasing its stake in Boluda Towage, the tug division of Boluda Corporación Marítima, continues.

According to the latest reports, the Swiss-Italian shipping giant is set to acquire a 49% stake in Boluda Towage. As part of the deal, MSC will merge its own tug division, MedTug, with Boluda, according to the latest DynaLiners report.

Pending regulatory approval, the deal is expected to be finalized in April or May.

MSC had already secured a 7% stake in Boluda Towage in 2023, exchanging it for 30 MedTug vessels.
