MSC to push up Oceania – Europe rates

Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) has announced the implementation of new Freight All Kinds (FAK) rate increases that will be applied from Oceania to Europe.

In particular, the Geneva-based shipping line will increase its rates for containers travelling from the Ports of Auckland in New Zealand and Melbourne in Australia, to the European ports of Antwerp and Valencia.

Hence, the elevated prices that will take effect from 1 February but not beyond 28 February, will be as follows:
