MSC to push up rates in Valencia and Antwerp

Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) has published fresh freight rate increases for sailings destined to Europe that will be effective from 16 September but not beyond 30 September.

In particular, the Swiss liner operator will implement a Freight All Kinds (FAK) increase from Port Qasim in Pakistan and the Indian ports of Nhava Sheva, Chennai and Kolkata to the European ports of Antwerp and Valencia.

The new increased prices that will be applied to all 20′, 40′ high cube (HC) and high cube reefer (HR) containers, will be the following:

In addition, the Geneva-based carrier will push up its FAK rates for 20′, 40′ standard and HC boxes transferred from the port of Colombo in Sri Lanka, to Valencia and Antwerp, as follows:
