Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) has decided to streamline its Santana service by removing the Vancouver call and offering an exclusive Pacific South West coverage into Los Angeles.
The new Sanatana service port rotation will be Yantian – Shanghai – Los Angeles – Yantian
The Genova-headquartered shipping line will launch a new service, named Chinook, in the meantime, in order to continue serving Vancouver. The Chinook service will directly connect China, South Korea and Vancouver. “This new service complements the Santana,” said MSC in its announcement.
The Chinook service will start its rotation in China with the 5,500TEU MSC Margarita voyage UK052A, ETA Yantian on 22 December 2020.
The fresh Chinook service rotation will be Yantian – Shanghai – Busan – Vancouver – Yantian
