MSC introduced the expansion of its ScanBaltic to the United States service, which links the Northwest region and markets in the US.
The new rotation will include calls to Jacksonville in the United States every two weeks.
MSC said the service connects with the ocean carrier’s European short sea and intermodal network and enhances support for the food and beverage, automotive and forestry industries across the ScanBaltic and US.
The new rotation of the service will be the following: Klaipeda, Lithuania – Gdynia, Poland – Goteborg, Sweden – Bremerhaven, Germany – Felixstowe, UK – Antwerp, Belgium – Le Havre, France – New York, US – Philadelphia, US – Norfolk, US – Jacksonville, US – Klaipeda.
According to MSC, transit time from Klaipeda to Jacksonville will be 29 days, from Bremerhaven to Jacksonville 21 days and from Le Havre to Jacksonville 17 days.
The first container vessel that will be deployed on the new rotation will be the Liberia-flagged MSC Olia, which is expected to arrive in Jacksonville on 25 April 2023.
