MSC’s MEDLOG partners with PDC to develop new cold storage facility at King Abdullah Port

Port Development Company (PDC), owner and master developer of King Abdullah Port, and MSC’s logistics arm MEDLOG have launched a strategic collaboration with King Abdullah Port to establish a state-of-the-art cold storage facility.

The project will entail an investment of 300 million Saudi Riyals (US$80 million) and will cover an expansive 60,000 square meters.

The new facility is expected to significantly enhance MEDLOG’s operational capabilities in Saudi Arabia, offering advanced storage solutions for perishable goods. It will also feature cutting-edge technology to maintain the highest standards of temperature control and product preservation.

Jay New, CEP of PDC, commented, “This investment not only enhances the port’s infrastructure but also contributes to Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 by fostering economic growth and creating new job opportunities.”

The new cold storage facility is anticipated to generate job opportunities and stimulate economic activity in the region, contributing to the country’s long-term economic goals.

Hisham Alansari, Managing Director of MEDLOG Saudi Arabia, stated, “The new cold storage facility at King Abdullah Port will enhance our logistics capabilities and support our customers’ needs for high-quality storage solutions.”
