New name for European Gateway Services

European Gateway Services (EGS), the intermodal network operator of Hutchison Ports ECT Rotterdam (ECT), will operate under a new name from today, 10 May.

The new name, which is Hutchison Ports Europe Intermodal (HPEI), makes it clear which activities are being carried out. The new brand also emphasises that Hutchison Ports Europe Intermodal forms part of an integrated range of port-to-door services from Hutchison Ports ECT Rotterdam (ECT).

HPEI offers the same services as previously EGS, with its rail and barge connections as its core and stands for sustainable and efficient intermodal transport within a network of deep-sea terminals in Rotterdam (the Netherlands) and Antwerp (Belgium) and several inland terminals in various countries.

Moreover, HPEI is expected to offer additional services, such as first and last-mile trucking, customs services and track and trace.

The new website of the company is www.hutchisonportseuropeintermodal.com.
