Nexyst 360 digitalises 5,000 grain transport containers with Nexxiot technology

Nexyst 360, a cutting-edge grain transportation solution provider, has teamed up with Nexxiot to digitalise its complete fleet of grain shipping containers using zero-maintenance Internet of Things (IoT) connectivity hardware.

This allows real-time transportation intelligence throughout the trip, with user services made accessible via Nexyst 360’s software solution – Traceable AG, LLC.

In the last five months, these containers travelled over 1.6 million kilometres, transporting over 5 million kilos of grain and food items around the world.

Nexxiot said that Traceable connects farmers, buyers, and retailers/consumers who use Nexyst 360’smart’s NexBox container to improve agricultural product shipping and accountability.

When coupled with the NexBox container and Traceable AG platform, Nexxiot hardware and software enhance farm-to-consumer security, efficiency, and provenance tracking, and provide next-level quality assurance, according to a statement.

Nexyst 360 plans to install 5,000 Nexxiot Globehopper IoT gateways and Cargo Monitors (cargo condition monitoring sensors).

These devices will allow Nexyst 360 / Traceable AG clients to take advantage of the most recent advancements in Asset Intelligence technology, such as real-time tracking of position and freight conditions, according to Nexxiot.

Based on real-time data, stakeholders will have the chance to receive supply chain insights and customisable notifications about risks and occurrences that require action.
