Oil spill in Mangaluru under control

Diesel leak from the fuel tank of container vessel, mv X-Press Brahmaputra, at New Mangalore Port on Saturday (Nov. 03) caused some anxiety but the port authorities were able to contain the damage.

Coast Guard Karnataka Commander, DIG, S.S. Dasila said that it was a minor damage and oil boom was put around the vessel to prevent further spread of the spill.
