ONE launches new subsidiary in Japan

Ocean Network Express (ONE) has announced the establishment of a new subsidiary company, ONE DEJIMA CO.LTD. in Nagasaki, Japan.

ONE said this establishment was made possible with the support of Nagasaki Prefecture, Nagasaki City, Fukuoka Financial Group and the Juhachi-Shinwa Bank, Ltd.

The new company, which will be supporting some of the operational functions from ONE’s global headquarters in Singapore, is expected to expand ONE’s global network and promote regional revitalisation in Japan.

ONE has already established Advanced Ocean Container Transportation Engineering Lab (AOCTEL) in Kumamoto Prefecture to develop and foster talents with specialised skills.

In preparation for the launch of ONE DEJIMA CO.LTD which includes support from local governments, ONE will be working closely with Fukuoka Financial Group and the Juhachi-Shinwa Bank, Ltd, who have established strong networks within the local communities.
