ONE suspends Myanmar import bookings

Ocean Network Express (ONE) has decided to suspend import bookings into Myanmar immediately due to a number of difficulties caused by the coup in the region.

[s2If is_user_logged_in()]In particular, the Singaporean carrier mentions in its announcement that there are severe disruptions in the Port of Myanmar caused by  protests, port terminals operating close to full capacity and limited availability of road transportation resources. In addition, internet and banking services have been shut, significantly worsening conditions.

ONE said that for those shipments currently on the way, they will strive to get them delivered despite delays which may occur both at transhipment as well as at arrival in Myanmar.

“The situation will be monitored carefully by our staff which will give updates once the situation improves,” added the Singaporean line.
