Hong Kong-based box carrier Orient Overseas Container Line (OOCL) marked a significant milestone with the naming ceremony of its third state-of-the-art 16,828 TEU container vessel, OOCL Sunflower, at Dalian COSCO KHI Ship Engineering Co. (DACKS).
The vessel was officially named by Jenny King, Director and General Manager of INTCO Recycling Resources Co., in the presence of distinguished guests, partners, and customers.
Part of OOCL’s newest series of eco-friendly vessels, each with a capacity of 16,828 TEUs, OOCL Sunflower features advanced technologies designed to deliver exceptional intelligence, environmental performance, and operational efficiency.
These vessels meet current environmental regulations, highlighting the company’s dedication to sustainable development.
OOCL Sunflower will operate on the carrier’s Transpacific trade ECX1 service, with a port rotation including Hong Kong, China > Yantian, China > Xiamen, China > Shanghai, China > New York, US > Savannah, US > Charleston, US > Laem Chabang, Thailand > Cai Mep, Vietnam > Hong Kong, China
