OrbitMI harnesses data-sharing power of Veracity by DNV

OrbitMI’s reporting tool is being integrated with DNV’s cloud platform Veracity to help ship owners and operators comply by allowing reliable emissions data to be shared with regulators and stakeholders.

Stena Bulk is the first shipping firm to use the new DNV-developed digital ecosystem, that houses verified operational data from over 10,000 vessels and has over 300,000 users, including ship owners and managers, charterers and cargo owners, and financial institutions.

OrbitMI, a vessel performance management company based in New York, is the newest vessel data supplier to join Veracity’s rapidly expanding network of integrated partners, making it easier for customers to acquire verified data that they can use and reuse for numerous applications.

The link will allow for the automated transfer of data collected by Orbit Reporter, OrbitMI’s noon and event reporting tool, to Veracity by DNV for seamless verification of emissions data accessible across the value chain.

“Integration with DNV’s trusted data verification platform reduces risk while enhancing data transparency to increase trust and efficiency for our clients, helping them to meet their goals for compliance, sustainability and operational efficiency,” stated Ali Riaz, CEO of OrbitMI.

Furthermore, the OrbitMI system operationalises data from numerous APIs into intelligent connected workflows that enable real-time data access throughout an organisation.

This avoids time-consuming and repetitive procedures caused by data silos, such as numerous log-ins, double entries, and cut-and-paste, which can lead to manual errors, decreased productivity, and increased business risk.

Ali Riaz further added, “This integration greatly simplifies the process of preparing reports for regulators and stakeholders to reduce manual workloads and save time so that clients can focus on acting on data to make their operations more efficient, profitable, sustainable and safer.”
