The South Korean shipping company, Pan Ocean has enhanced Korea-South China (KSC) service by deploying an additional 830TEU ship to strengthen the frequency of the service on a weekly basis.
Pan Ocean launched its service in March, using only one boxship, the 650TEU Heung-A Jakarta, which was chartered from Sinokor Merchant Marine. The new vessel is called Run Sheng and was chartered from the Singaporean owner, Fonway Shipping.
The company claimed it sees potential in southern China, where imports and exports of petrochemical products, steel products and furniture, have grown by more than 10% annually.
“Deploying more ships is expected to broaden the options for importers and exporters in the Incheon area and to contribute stably to the increase in southern China’s cargo volume. We will focus on opening new services in major regions,” stated the Pan Ocean.
