Pelindo and Pertamina to develop Jakarta Integrated Green Terminal

PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Pesero) made an agreement with PT Pertamina International Shipping for joint plans for the development of the Jakarta Integrated Green Terminal (JIGT) at Kalibaru Terminal in Indonesia.

JIGT will be the gateway to the energy trading ecosystem through the Singapore-Indonesia corridor which has global trade flows for oil and LNG.

Arif Suhartono, president director of Pelindo, explained that “this agreement was a follow-up to the master agreement that had been signed previously as a tangible manifestation of synergy between state-owned companies.”

“Improving Indonesia’s energy security needs to be a common concern, for that Pelindo and Pertamina take part in improving energy infrastructure, in this case the development of the Jakarta Integrated Green Terminal to support this,” added Arif Suhartono.

CEO of Pertamina International Shipping, Yoki Firnandi, said, “energy needs are increasingly high and dynamic, requiring the presence of new energy terminals to support Plumpang.”
