PIL restarts its MZS service from Singapore

Pacific International Lines (PIL) has announced it will resume its MZS service, which will offer a direct connection from the Port of Singapore to Reunion, Tamatave and Mozambique, from 29 July.

The Singaporean line will deploy six container vessels on the enhanced MZS service, which will have the following port rotation: Singapore – Reunion – Tamatave – Maputo – Beira – Nacala – Singapore.

The new weekly service is part of the company’s continuous effort to strengthen its service network to the Eastern and Southern African market, according to an announcement.

“Madagascar and Mozambique cargo which previously relied on transshipment at Mombasa, Kenya, can now enjoy our comprehensive service with better schedule reliability and shorter transit time,” said PIL in a statement.

The 1,170TEU boxship will be the first vessel that will sail under the updated MZS port rotation and will begin from Singapore on 29 July.
