The Port of Gdansk participated in the 13th edition of the China International Logistics and Transportation Fair in Shenzhen. The Port’s representatives returned to Poland not only with new business contacts and declarations on cooperation, but also with an award for its contribution to the event.
The CILF fair involves a number of debates on the one hand, and a huge exhibition space on the other. Each year, thousands of companies present their areas of activity there. The Port of Gdansk participated in this year’s edition as a speaker, organiser of a discussion panel and exhibitor. For the entirety of its marketing exposition, it received an award from the fair’s organisers.
“It is a huge distinction for us. Not too long ago, the Port of Gdansk was just one of many ports simply attending the event. Today, we are the best. The organisation of this type of event involves months of very hard work of the entire marketing team, which coordinates the event in Asia from the headquarters in Poland. Taking the time difference into consideration, I cansafely say we have been working day and night. And, as we can see, with good results,” explains Patryk Felmet, Marketing and Communications Director at the Port of Gdansk Authority. “The award we received proves that the direction of our marketing activities and their intensification has been the right path to take,” he adds.
The presentation of the Port of Gdansk was selected as the best among nearly 1,800 other participants of the event. “Shenzhen was literally swamped by the Port of Gdansk. Throughout the fair, we kept meeting people with our freebies every couple of minutes. We had new guests coming to our stand all the time, praising the stand itself and the entire marketing activity prepared by the Port. The Chinese are very demanding and experienced in terms of innovations and organisation, so we are all the more happy with the distinction we received from them,” says Marcin Osowski, Vice-President of the Board for Infrastructure at the PGA.
CILF participants included not only other ports from all over the world, but also the largest businesses from the logistics, port and maritime industries.
