The Montreal Port Authority (MPA) has announced that Geneviève Deschamps, current vice president of Finance at MPA, will be interim president and chief executive officer, effective from 21 August 2023.
“Geneviève has all the leadership qualities required to ensure the continuity of operations, mobilise the teams and pursue the deployment of the strategic plan,” said Nathalie Pilon, chair of the MPA board of directors.
Nathalie Pilon added, “She will lead a solid management team that is working to carry out our current projects, including, among others, the major expansion project of the Port of Montreal in Contrecoeur. She and her team can count on the full support of all board members.”
Meanwhile, MPA Board has already launched the recruitment process by mandating a reputable and experienced executive search firm to identify, over the next few months, the best candidates to fill the position on a permanent basis.
