Port of Ningbo kicks off 2022 with more than 5 million TEU

Ningbo Zhouhan Port has reported a total of 5.25 million TEU in the first two months of 2022, representing an increase of 1.1% year-on-year in container throughput.

At the same time, total cargo traffic in the Chinese port reached 199 million tons, which translates to a growth of 2.8% over the corresponding period of 2021.

Furthermore, Ningbo’s total foreign import and export trade reached US$32.3 billion, an increase of 19.6% over the same period of the previous year.

During the first two months of the year, the port of Ningbo has also launched six new ocean lines with Europe, South America and other directions, increasing the number of container lines in the port to 292, according to a statement.
