Port of Valencia moved 395,078 TEUs in November, translating to an 18.72% increase over the same month last year.
Valencia container exports reached 73,847 TEUs, while box imports reached 61,283 TEUs with the Spanish port having now achieved three consecutive months of growth.
Additionally, the port of Valencia moved 219,238 TEUs via rail in the previous month, representing a slight 1% growth year-on-year.
Meanwhile, throughout the entire year, there has been a remarkable 8.26% increase in the number of vehicles managed, reaching a total of 588,596 units.
In terms of Ro-Ro traffic (short sea ro-ro services), there has been a cumulative growth of 2.4% in 2023, totalling 12,321,812 tonnes handled.
China remains the major trading partner, having handled an accumulated 503,795 tonnes. Following closely is the United States, where trade has grown by 2.4% in 2023, with a total of 331,569 tonnes handled. Traffic with the Far East continues to exhibit positive figures, and the number of containers handled from January to November reached 709,812 TEUs, reflecting a growth of 4.71%.
The countries experiencing the most significant increases in traffic with the Valencian ports include Vietnam (+28.49%), along with Egypt (+24.85%), and India (+21.31%).
