Post NL’s Spring GDS opens new hub in UK

Post NL’s international subsidiary Spring GDS has officially established its new hub at London Heathrow, United Kingdom.

The new 30,000m² facility is designed to enhance the global shipping capabilities of the company and can process 40,000 items per day. The hub is equipped with 256 solar panels on the roof, with an EPC rating of A+.

The facility currently houses a team of 100 UK-based staff members, having the potential to house double the number in the future.

Kelly van der Weg, Managing Director of Spring Global Delivery Solutions UK, stated: “The UK remains an important hub for any truly international e-commerce provider. Spring GDS had a 500> Euro turnover last year fuelled by factors including a 40% year-on-year volume growth in our commercial business.

“Our sustainable new Heathrow facility will help us to continue to grow with our customer base as they deliver across borders. It also highlights our ongoing commitment to providing efficient and eco-friendly logistics solutions for our customers.”
