Premier Alliance discloses updates to its network

Premier Alliance, including HMM, Ocean Network Express (ONE) and Yang Ming, which will commence operations in February after the exit of Hapag-Lloyd from THE Alliance, has announced changes in its network.

On the Transpacific (West Coast) trade, the PN3 will be split into two loops, PN3 and PN4 whilst there will be a new MD5 service between the Mediterranean and the Far East, according to DynaLiners.

Given the limited number of ports served by the MD5 service (Barcelona, Singapore, and Shanghai), it’s likely that there will be a slot-based operation in collaboration with MSC along this route, with whom the Premier Alliance will be working.

Furthermore, on the Transpacific (East Coast) route, Florida’s port of Jacksonville (JAXPORT) will be added to the EC2.

The full rotations of the aforementioned services will be updated as follows:

  • MD5 (Mediterranean-Far East): Barcelona (Spain) – Singapore – Shanghai (China)
  • PN3 (Transpacific West Coast): Qingdao (China)  Busan (South Korea) – Vancouver (Canada) – Tacoma (US) – Busan – Qingdao
  • PN4 (Transpacific West Coast): Ningbo (China) Shanghai (China) – Vancouver (Canada) – Tacoma (US) – Ningbo
  • EC2 (Transpacific East Coast): Xiamen (China) – Shenzhen, Yantian (China) – Ningbo (China) – Shanghai (China) – Busan (South Korea) – Colon, Cristobal (Panama) – Savannah (US) – Charleston (US) – Jacksonville (US) – Colon, Cristobal – Busan – Xiamen
