Qatar Navigation Company (Milaha) announced the resignation of the company’s president and CEO.
Abdulrahman Essa Al-Mannai has taken this decision in order to carry out other tasks, according to the statement. According to Milaha, the board of directors of the company accepted the resignation of the president and CEO of the Group, and his position was temporarily taken by Mohammed Abdulla Swidan, the executive vice president of “Milaha Offshore and Marine Services”.
Swidan has nearly twenty years of experience in maritime transport and holds an MBA in “Global Shipping Management” from the University of Greenwich-London, in addition to his Senior Marine Engineering certificate.
H.E Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad bin Jassim Jaber Al-Thani, chairman of Milaha’s board of directors, and the other members of the board expressed their immense gratitude to Al-Mannai for his leadership and valuable contribution throughout his service period at the company, which lasted almost seven years, wishing him every success in his future endeavors.
For his part, Al-Mannai expressed his appreciation to the board of directors and all Milaha employees for their support during his work.
