The Port Autonome de Douala (PAD) is advancing its digital transformation strategy by partnering with Spanish technology company Prodevelop to implement an integrated port management software solution.
This collaboration aims to revolutionise the port’s operations by streamlining internal processes, enhancing the management of financial and operational data, and delivering superior service to its clients.
The initiative is designed to achieve several critical objectives, including optimising ship and cargo turnaround times, improving service quality for PAD stakeholders, boosting operational efficiency, and refining data management practices. A centralised community portal will consolidate requests and payments, providing a unified entry point for users. The system will also generate reliable statistics, enabling data-driven decision-making.
Prodevelop will use an agile methodology to ensure the development process is iterative, adaptable, and inclusive of key business stakeholders. To facilitate seamless adoption and effective implementation, a comprehensive training program will accompany the deployment of the software.
As part of the project, Prodevelop will also provide ongoing support and corrective maintenance to ensure the system’s functionality and scalability. Integration with existing systems and the retrieval of essential data will ensure a smooth transition to the new platform.
