PSA and ONE partner to accelerate supply chain process

One Network Enterprises (ONE), a solutions provider for autonomous supply chain management, and PSA Cargo Solutions, a unit of major global port group PSA International (PSA), have announced a strategic partnership to expand services for global terminal operations and logistics.

Through this partnership, the One Network platform will expand the capabilities of PSA’s Lead Logistics Provider (LLP) service for global 3PL customers, including ocean and land end-to-end (e2e) services for global logistics and port-based warehousing.

The two companies are aiming to roll out the first service offerings within two months, according to a Container News source.

The joint solution will provide full capability for track-and-trace visibility, alerts and notifications, and a comprehensive supply chain control tower, including mobile apps, handling thousands of bookings per month over nearly 100 global transportation lanes across Asia and the European Union.

“PSA Cargo Solutions plans to leverage One Network services to augment its CALISTATM platform and better support our customer and vendor communities globally,” a PSA Cargo Solutions spokesperson told Container News.

“This partnership allows us to provide a much broader service offering and also gain better insights into our customers’ and cargo owners’ requirements as we partner with them to help manage their end-to-end supply chains,” he explained.

According to a statement, the specific capabilities of the joint solution by the two companies include:

  • Shipment planning, order management and execution, including purchase order (PO) planning, management and optimisation
  • Exception management, including detention & demurrage alerts and updates
  • Carrier management for ocean, road and rail, including barge booking
  • Rate management
  • Booking management across modes and at the PO, container, and cubic metre/carton level
  • Order confirmation, status updates and reporting, with both online and physical reports
  • Multi-mode shipment management
  • Document management, including document uploads and tracking
  • Invoicing

The system will also optimise transport, planning and routing for local and cross-border distribution including optimisation of alternative of transportation modes, said PSA.

In future, the two partners plan to develop their solution with a platform for additional supply chain business process outsourcing (BPO) services provided by PSA for shippers.

“We intend to further enhance and augment our platform-based service offerings via CALISTATM to broaden our product base, so as to better service our customers and service partners,” the spokesperson commented on the vision of the partnership.

ONE, which is a Texas-based technology company not associated with the shipping line, said its NEO platform, an intelligent technology agent-tool, offers a complete solution for autonomous supply chain management.

The supply chain management company added its real-time network spans both planning and execution, with machine learning and intelligent agent technology to enable optimisation of the multi-tier supply network, along with rapid identification of exceptions and autonomous resolution.
