Portchain, a provider of advanced analytics and AI solutions for the shipping industry, announced that Port of Tanjung Pelepas (PTP) has deployed Portchain’s Berth Optimization Engine as a part of the terminal’s digitisation development.
Portchain recently deployed its AI-system to automate and optimise PTP’s berth planning operations. Its algorithms will enable PTP to deploy their assets more effectively to increase berth productivity and reduce operating costs. Furthermore, the application enables better collaboration between terminal departments as well as allowing the port to operate as a “paperless” terminal.
