Puerto Aguadulce sets new high for Colombian coast with APL Fullerton call

International Container Terminal Services, Inc. (ICTSI)-operated Puerto Aguadulce, a terminal on Colombia’s Pacific coast, recently reached a significant milestone by handling the Ultra Large Container Vessel (ULCV) APL Fullerton.

This CMA CGM-operated vessel, which measures 398 meters in length and 51 meters in width with a capacity of 19,856 TEUs, is the largest ship to ever dock on the Colombian coast. Its arrival on 9 September highlights the terminal’s strategic logistical advantages and the trust shipping lines place in Puerto Aguadulce’s infrastructure and services.

“The arrival of this vessel is a testament to our ongoing evolution and adaptation to the demands of global trade. This achievement demonstrates that we are prepared to face the challenges of the international market and continue being the preferred terminal on the Colombian Pacific,” stated Álvaro Otero, Puerto Aguadulce General Manager.
