Rail blockades in Canada affect ZIM operations

ZIM released an update on the rail blockades that are taking place in Canada, that are affecting the movement of containers between Montreal and Toronto.

ZIM says that currently, the rail line near Belleville Ontario is blocked by protesters who are protesting a proposed pipeline project in Western Canada.

In the meantime, trains continue to move from the port of Halifax to Montreal on schedule.

Although trains from Halifax to Toronto are moving through alternative routes in order to safely reach Brampton rail terminal, ZIM expect delays with cargo delivery.
