Ro-Ro cargo ship catches fire at port of Tacoma

Ro-Ro cargo ship Midnight Sun suffered a fire accident at the port of Tacoma in the United States on 22 September, while it was berthed at the port.

The fire broke out on the upper deck of the ship and was extinguished by the crew members. According to preliminary investigation, an electrical malfunction of the equipment on deck caused the fire incident.

At the time of writing, there are no reported injuries or leaks, while the ship has suffered minor damage.
