Scan Global Logistics expands into Ireland to boost Transatlantic trade

Scan Global Logistics (SGL), a transport and logistics solution provider, has announced the opening of its first office in Ireland, marking another step in its European expansion.

This new location will strengthen SGL’s offerings in a key trade region, supporting local and international clients with a full range of logistics services.

“Ireland is a key market for us. Its proximity to major trade lanes and position as a Transatlantic gateway within air and ocean transport makes it ideal for supporting our global growth goals,” mentioned Neil Murray, SGL’s Managing Director for the UK and Ireland.

By entering the Irish market, SGL continues its European growth strategy, capitalizing on Ireland’s strategic role as a logistics hub for Transatlantic trade. Positioned as a gateway between North America and Europe, Ireland offers SGL access to both markets.

The new office is led by Scott Darcy as Ireland’s Country Director and overseen by Neil Murray, Managing Director for the UK & Ireland.

Earlier this year, the company grew its presence in Europe with the acquisition of Foppiani Shipping & Logistics in Italy, while it also expanded into Saudi Arabia.
