Scan Global Logistics strengthens its presence in Latin America

Scan Global Logistics (SGL), a global logistics provider, is on a growth trajectory in Latin America, driven by new market entries, expansions, and acquisitions.

The company has opened new offices in Argentina and Colombia while enhancing service operations in Chile, Peru, and Mexico. These efforts aim to expand product offerings and develop new competencies in both new and existing locations.

Additionally, SGL has signed the papers for the acquisition of BLU Logistics, a Brazilian forwarder, strengthening its presence in Latin America, one of the world’s emerging regions, which holds significant economic potential and a unique geographic advantage relative to North America and the Asia-Pacific.

The enhanced presence in Brazil will fortify the global and regional SGL network, while it is expected to improve connectivity with neighbouring countries, like Uruguay and Paraguay.

“As a result, customers will benefit from comprehensive cross-border logistics solutions, efficient customs clearance, warehousing, and national and international trucking services,” said SGL.

SGL noted it offers a wide range of services across the Latin American region, catering to sectors such as aid and relief, energy, pharmaceuticals, industrial projects, automotive, FMCG, food and additives, technology, and general manufacturing.
