Seaber, Neste launch cooperation to optimise maritime logistics

Seaber.io, a Finnish marine technology firm, has announced a collaboration with Neste, a producer of renewable and sustainable fuels.

Neste plans marine logistics tasks such as shipping schedules and port calls using Seaber’s software.

According to Seaber.io, the Software as a Service (SaaS) solution is designed for both shipowners and cargo owners. Also, Seaber’s technology delivers data-driven decision assistance that optimises fleet TCE (Time Charter Equivalent) and lowers expenses per ton mile, as well as the environmental impact of shipping.

“New solutions and partnerships like Seaber are needed to help us optimise maritime logistics, which is one step towards reducing emissions,” mentioned Paavo Kojonen, shipping asset and sustainability manager at Neste.

Furthermore, this technology enables multi-parcel and multi-port journeys, as well as single cargo voyages, where needless ballast voyages and low utilisation rates are prevalent.

“This collaboration enables Neste to optimise their processes, increase vessel utilisation and reduce emissions and cost per ton mile,” stated Sebastian Sjöberg, CEO and co-founder of Seaber.io.
