SeaLead announces new managing director for South Asia and Middle East

SeaLead has announced the appointment of Shiva Mahadevan as managing director, South Asia and Middle East, based in Mumbai, India and reporting to SeaLead managing director, Henry Schmidl.

In this new role, Shiva will work closely with SeaLead’s headquarters team in Singapore to advance commercial competencies, build and enhance customer relationships, and develop products and services to grow the company’s presence in the region.

In addition to these commercial and operational activities, he will also be responsible for vendor and agency relationships in the region.

Shiva Mahadevan was recently chief executive officer at Perma Shipping Line Pte Ltd in Singapore and has worked earlier with American President Lines (APL) and Neptune Orient Lines (NOL) in the country.

Schmidl commented, “We are delighted to be extending SeaLead’s capabilities and reach with the appointment of Shiva. He brings with him tremendous knowledge of liner shipping and will enable us to continue our rapid development.”

He added, “We have extensive plans for the South Asia and Middle East region and are confident that Shiva will help us execute on those plans.”
