Ship Angel acquires WaySync and launches rate management tool

Ship Angel, a North American Software as a Service (SaaS) startup developing a suite of digital logistics products for BCO (beneficial cargo owner) shippers, announces the launch of an AI-enabled container rate management platform in conjunction with the acquisition of WaySync, a logistics tech startup located in New York.

To address the increase in container freight rate complexity, Ship Angel provides a SaaS rate management tool for shippers. Furthermore, the Ship Angel rate management solution aids in the reduction of ocean carrier billing difficulties.

With the Ship Angel rate management platform, shippers have access to rate data that has been supplemented with useful insights, allowing them to make informed “best option” predictions for each shipment.

According to a statement, Ship Angel’s simple-to-implement digital logistics solutions will help shippers save time, save expenses, and enhance income.

Reagrding the aforementioned acquisition, WaySync built an Artificial Intelligence (AI)-first tech stack solution to enhance the management of a wide range of non-standardised ocean rate formats, making them all available on a single platform.
