The real-time transportation visibility provider Shippeo is expanding its North American operations and US executive team, and it is also enhancing its customer-centric, multi-modal visibility platform, in an effort to support the company’s growing North American customer base.
With this step, Shippeo aims to support its growing North American customer base, as well as to deliver a better experience for its global customers by providing them with the visibility data needed to increase operational agility and efficiency.
During this time of supply chain disruption, Shippeo plans to accelerate the number of secure, direct integrations with US-based trucking companies, logistics providers and ocean carriers, and have access to data from their terminal and port operator trading partners.
“Visibility data analytics is vital to helping companies proactively manage supply chain issues, especially now, as ongoing market and infrastructure challenges continue to disrupt transportation flows and reliable logistics processes,” said Lucien Besse, chief operating officer at Shippeo.
Shippeo’s presence in North America has uncovered an underserved aspect of the market’s visibility offerings, with a global network including Europe and Middle East of over 130 customers, according to a statement.
Industry supply chain and logistics technology veterans, Christopher Mazza and Brian Shultz will lead Shippeo’s US-based growth initiative. Mazza will lead Shippeo’s expansion in North America and new markets, as the company’s senior vice president of international growth.
Mazza has held senior leadership roles in ClearMetal, a Project44 subsidiary, as well as Navis’ XVELA, and International Assets Systems, which was acquired by Blume Global. He has also served in operational and executive management positions with ocean carriers including Maersk, DSR-Senator and Hanjin.
In addition, Shultz, vice president of sales & marketing in America, has been working in the international supply chain technology space for more than 20 years, where he created and managed logistics networks comprising all modes of transportation for logistics service providers, beneficial cargo owner (BCO) shippers (across multiple verticals), third and fourth-party logistics (3PLs and 4PLs).
Meanwhile, he has held senior leadership roles within ABB, International Assets Systems and Navis, in addition to years of international supply chain consulting.
