SITC entered into a strategic cooperation framework agreement with Xiamen Port Holding Group on 10 January, marking a significant milestone in their collaboration.
During the signing ceremony, Yang Xianxiang, vice chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO of SITC, expressed gratitude to Xiamen Port Holding Group for its support and high-quality services.
According to a statement, SITC plans to leverage its strengths in logistics, supply chain, and intelligence to contribute to the enhancement of the global shipping system at the Chinese port, fostering a relationship of mutual empowerment and win-win cooperation.
CAI Liqun, secretary of the Party Committee and chairman of Xiamen Port Holding Group, emphasized the desire to strengthen cooperation not only with SITC but also with Fuzhou Port, Quanzhou Port and other ports.
He also highlighted the potential for collaboration in the “Belt and Road” initiative, with Xiamen Port positioned as a key player, and recognized SITC Holdings for its global shipping resource allocation capabilities. Both parties aim to complement each other’s strengths, explore avenues for deeper collaboration, and collaboratively build an international container hub port with a base in Xiamen, radiating across the southeast coast, and strategically aligning with the “Belt and Road” initiative.
The future trajectory involves a commitment to deepening the strategic partnership and expanding and elevating cooperation across various domains. The focus will be on route network layout, international transit, a comprehensive logistics service chain, cross-border e-commerce, hinterland cargo source expansion, port intelligence, and digital transformation.
