Spain satisfied with first year of CETA

The Spanish food sectors are profiting a year after the start of the trade treaty between Canada and the EU (CETA) from the opportunities the treaty provides. The export figures have risen considerably. According to FIAB, the federation of the food and drink industry, the export to Canada grew by 18% in 2017 compared to 2018. This tendency continued throughout the first half of the year, with an increase if 8.35% compared to the same period in the previous year. This means that the export growth of food to Canada since the start of CETA last year is just as high as the growth throughout the last ten years.
